Shah Rukh Khan’s TED Talk – Thoughts on Humanity, Fame & Love

Posted on

Was waiting for Shah Rukh Khan’s TED talk to be available for a watch online. This is his first TED Talk and it definitely is witty  (as expected) but was also motivational. I studied at the same school that Shah Rukh (St. Columba’s School) also went to, and that particularly made me feel even more proud. His speech, the way he delivered it was something that made me change my opinion of him (for the better). He is truly extraordinarily extraordinary and that is what makes a superstar. Some who truly is all-rounded personality, someone who was amazingly awesome in academics as much as he excelled in sports and other extra-co-curricular activities.

I loved the way he defined the simplicity of human existence in the past and how it became complicated over time and the importance of love among human beings in todays day and age. You could sense from the talk about the pain of being a super star and how superstar’s life can be so publicly assumed and affect them as a person…. all of it was expressed beautifully.

You could see the hidden feeling of a father who was realising how his children were growing fast when he speaks of his daughter enlightening him with meaning of ADIDAS in the social media jargon.

At the end he talks of the “Future You”  – “to create a world which is own best lover”. Highly recommend everyone to watch Shah Rukh Khan’s first ever TED Talk.
